Wow, someone seems like they’ve been judged a bit harshly by a “critic” LOL
But, seriously–me, bitter? That’s like the Pope being a black woman anytime soon. I do it because I feel that the audience needs unbiased ears for and an in-depth analyses of the music they listen to. Would you rather every artist put out complete garbage and ignorance and follow your idea of “don’t and never listen to the ‘critics’?” That gets us a world of subpar Soulja Boy clones (yes, there is such a thing) and Myspace rappers recording on their circa-2005 cell phone LMAO

I’m not even a huge Drake fan, but I never listen to critics. Critics always seem to be bitter ppl that couldn’t make it in whatever field of choice, so they say “I know, I’ll make a career out judging it”. Pointless.

C, I appreciate your comment and hope to clarify some things.
I never stated that I was an expert on these things. Heck, I even said “I probably shouldn’t speak on this topic,” as most of my experiences with fraternities and sorors stems from the outside looking in. So, obviously, I don’t exactly know what I’m talking about–just stating an opinion on the matter using all of the knowledge of frats/sorors that I possess.
Of course everything will never be A-OK, as there will always be a group of people that make everyone look bad by doing something like this, like you said, in the dark. What I saying is that more preventive measures should be taken, by all frats, to either ensure that stuff like this doesn’t happen or make sure that no one dies or is seriously hurt because of it (you know, maybe tone it down a little). That’s all I’m saying.
Once again, glad you stopped by, and stated your opinion. That’s always valued here.

dog u dont even know wat ur talkin bout. the national fraternity does what they can. its not really much u can do to prevent someone from doin what they want in the dark…preventive measures have been taken.

First, it is a bit unfair to say that “The Blacks” were the only ones that marched in the rally. While the majority of students—from photos published by people at the rally–were “black,” I know that there were people of other “races” that were there. Second, I don’t believe that diversity, or the lack of it, is the problem. The problem is when people hide behind this cloak of so-called diversity to keep people from seeing that they’re just as segregative as the guy in the back of the room praying that there was a “whites only section” of campus to keep all the “blackies” away from him. We, as students, should have the right to a full education (with all aspects of life covered; whether we agree with them is another story). However, we as people, will never progress when we still isolate ourselves according to race/allow ourselves to be isolated according to race.

I agree with everything you said about this whole diversity hoopla. At least you aren’t acting like the other Blacks on this campus who are whining about diversity issues. The Blacks should realize that the majority of students on this campus do not care about “diversity” issues. And you wonder why Blacks were the only ones rallying around the Administration building. That obviously speaks volumes about how much we care about “diversity”.
